Yo I'm Alive and Kickin'!

Wow it's been over a year since my last journal. Well long story short I neglected this account over another account (not on DA) and I was getting way better business and experience over there so yeah, I didn't feel the need to return to this account until recently. =w=
For those who just stumbled upon me recently hi there my name's Clawshawt! 8D I've become more known to be a furry artist lately but I draw all sorts of different things I just don't always post them up.
My apologies to those who have been wondering where I've been! I'm still around just not on DA as much anymore.
I've finally graduated college and I'm expecting my degree in the mail real soon. ^_^
I'll hopefully be working at this part time job for the time being until I can get a gig for animation or what have you.
For any personal projects or practice work I'll be posting it here. Be it finished or unfinished I want to fill my gallery with more variety!
Also my birthday is coming up a week from tomorrow, gonna be old as a dinosaur. QwQ Seriously where has the time gone??
I'll try to reply to comments again as best I can but I still get quite a lot (shockingly) so please don't feel bad if I haven't replied to you yet. ;n;

I've kinda been everywhere but here. TuT I don't think anyone reads my journals but if you're wondering what I've been up to, you should read this time. If you want~
It's just a weird cycle I go through where I'll be super active on DA then suddenly disappear from it. I don't mean to, it just happens with me sometimes. ;A;
I want to apologize for being absent this whole time. Those of you who have shown me kindness and gave me constructive feedback are truly wonderful people! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! ;u;
I think what makes me shy away from DA lately is the continuous changes to the layout and the messages I get can be overwhelming. I feel really bad when I don't reply but believe me when I say I do read them and I highly appreciate the support. ;u;
Also now that I have quite a few accounts on different websites, it's really challenging for me to keep up with each of them. @.@ Hats off to anyone who manages all your accounts successfully.
Other than that, classes were killer this semester! >~< I'm ecstatic I passed my Ethics class with a B! I was struggling because there was a lot of writing involved. So, sick, of papers. >8(
Character Design has kept my hands tied as well. It was a lot of work but I really enjoyed it. 
The Fluttershy character sheets I posted is an example of one of our assignments. I'm not gonna post all of them because some of the work I did I'm not really that proud of. XD

also had this Advanced Animation class that was, well.... it was bad. |'D I think the idea of the semester long project wasn't so bad, but because we had very few staff members that aren't experienced in animation (or can't draw squat) it slowed things down immensely. It also was extremely worrying when one of our classmates disappeared off the face of the earth. No joke. She no longer was active on Facebook, she didn't answer her phone, she stopped attending her other classes, and her parents thought she was at school this whole time. That, is terrifying. I can only pray she's all right.

I can only pray she's all right. I think we barely passed the class because we weren't supposed to have any scenes missing, and guess what. We have scenes missing. So we made a snarky "scene missing" message that we displayed in the video as the audio played for that scene. Better than nothing. ^_^;
I'm sure you're curious what the final product looks like, but you're not missing much. |D
Still, everyone who pulled their weight did a great job and I'm thankful for their cooperation.
Anywho, now that it's winter break I can relax. TuT I do want to keep improving on my work though, so I'm keeping myself busy with my own art projects and any commissions I receive.

Since it's October I do what I can to celebrate Halloween every day of the month because one day just isn't enough. >= D
Super stoked for tomorrow, it's the 3rd annual St. Louis Zombie Walk and who better to make a guest appearance than our beloved zombie werewolf? 8D It's gonna be my first year wearing Kryme to the walk! She's gonna go wild meeting new zombie friends. Anyone in the St. Louis area should definitely join us, it's free and all you gotta do is dress as a zombie and join us at the Delmar Loop at 7pm where the walk will begin.
Better yet, next week is fall break. -heavenly chorus- About time it got here seriously. |'D
I mean don't get me wrong I do enjoy my classes but it's tiring work, we all could use a break. ;v;

6. Asking me if I can make your picture look slightly more cartoony or realistic is fine! If you want me to mimic someone else's style, show me an example and I'll decide if I can do it.
7. When requesting a commission, please be clear and concise about telling me what you want. No chatspeak please!

I want to be more varied in my art, so unless you tell me what you want, I am going to probably get creative with details like that.
Due dates are not really a good friend of mine. I'd appreciate it if you let me work on the commission for as long as I need to, especially since I'm schooling and working. Unless it's for a birthday present, then I will try my best to finish the commission on time.
As far as trades go, shading and background will depend on how much work and effort the other artist is willing to put into their's.

Upcoming Conventions!

BUT plans change and it's not always a bad thing. =] Didn't originally plan to go to Natsucon but when I did I helped a good friend of mine with her cosplay contest and she won Best in Masters. So a mighty congratulations to 
once again for her prized Xerneas fursuit!

Yes, I'm mainly going to Metacon to see Steam Powered Giraffe, I can't thank and enough for allowing us to share a hotel room with them seriously thank you guys. ;.;

I'll also be going to Midwest Furfest I'm hoping to get Roxy made in time for that event but if not, Kryme will make an appearance instead. =]
There's also a Renaissance Faire in October! RawrsuitGirl, FuzzyBunsOfSteel and I are going and GrizzledDog will be wearing her upcoming werewolf Tusken and I'll be wearing Kryme. We'll be two werewolves rampaging the medieval lands of Kansas City~ Be there and be square dawg.
